The Springs lamp makes a great gift for lovers of mid century design. It has a simple folk art feel.

Hand painted with Benjamin Moore's aura paint in Appalachian Brown with cream color shade. Brass hardware and 3-way switch.

'The Springs' is named after a quiet little Long Island peninsular hamlet not far from the village of East Hampton, was notable as a location where many New York School painters who came into prominence in the 1950's (Pollock, de Kooning ...) spent their summers or in some cases lived year round.

Here's a blog post we did about the area http://www.fineartistmade.com/blog/blog-detail.php?The-Springs-63

Lamp size: 6-3/4"W x 6-3/4"D x 20"H (height includes harp.)

Empire style shade included 7" (top diameter) x 13" (bottom diameter) x 9.5" (height)
