This kitschy vintage salesman sample button card showcases an awesome array of "pearline" plastic buttons created by the b. blumenthal and Co. Inc of le chic, "button specialists since 1877".

Part of the original card has been cut off. Hard to tell how much is missing. The lovely golden rust colored buttons are sewn onto the once, ever popular, woven tweed fabric swatch to show how fabulous they would look on hand made frocks cleverly assembled by the savvy seamstresses of the day. How did they ever do it?

The mini card samples read: ".29/le chic, guaranteed washable" There was a choice of size 30, 36, and 45 and ranged from 2-4 on a card. The wholesale price was $1.55 per dozen cards.

Other color samples of the size 45 are also sewn onto the main sample card. The colors include: ruby red, aurora blue, golden rust, black, grey, glace violet, navy, oakleaf brown, foam beige, and emerald green. How could one ever choose which colors?!

The card measures 13" long x 7" tall. The smallest buttons have a diameter of 3/4" and the largest buttons 1 1/8". There are 19 total buttons on the card.

This card would be a fun addition to any collection or the buttons could be (gasp!) cut off to use in any project.
