Here's a small rendering of a wild trillium found throughout Minnesota--they're pretty spectacular when you stumble upon them while you're treking through the woods. The design for this sun catcher was located in Taylors Falls, Minnesota.

The flower is made from scavenged German mouth blown flashed opal antique glass from Glashutte Lamberts, and the leaves are from the sides of a Carlsberg Elephant malt concoction. The unusual qualities of the flashed opal glass make for interesting variations and different looks throughout the day.

The pieces are then copper foiled and soldered with a lead free solder--measures about 4"x4"--allow a couple of days for official send-off.
