Walk with me; you are my beloved child. Here is a craft beautifully depicting the scripture "And thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore walk with me."

So many styles to choose from this year, which will you choose? Over the past 3+ years these frames have become increasingly popular at YW camps and activities around the country (and even several countries around the world!) They are sturdy and fun to paint with acrylic paint or color with sharpie markers. If you look at the staff and the arm, you will notice they are fairly thin. I recommend a thinner paint brush or thin sharpies or mix. Even if you are using sharpies for most of the project, I'd probably want to have some brown acrylic paint on hand for the staff and maybe some skin color too. Some people just use a thin sharpie or do that part on the back. (Keep reading for more ideas on how to use them).

Approximate size: 4 1/10 x 4 1/10 inches (top circle adds 4/10ths of an inch). Savior frame is a bit taller and narrower and the daisy walk with me it taller.

This listing is for the black template frame filled in WITH translucent clear filament. There will be a hole on the top to hang it from. (If you want it without the hole, please let me know!)

These are printed in a biodegradable 3D filament. As is common with 3D printing, you might see print lines and imperfections. Color can vary slightly between each batch. You may even see a few black lines in some of the clear areas. No one frame is exactly perfect but you should find the imperfections workable and acceptable. (About 1 in 10 is held back and sold as a flaw for a discount in another listing.) If by chance you are not using these to be colored or with resin and need them to be as perfect as we can get them, please let me know when checking out.

Please note, the circular style is NOT easy! It will take time and patience to make it look good. Do not purchase this if you are expecting it to be easy. The others are beginner friendly but they also each have spaces that are a tight fit-depending on what you choose to color them with. The circular one will require you to color it on the back or use fine tip sharpies or paint it. The staff in Jesus' hand, the Walk with Me words and the moustache are also tight fits on the other frames. These pieces are small and will take a bit more patience. A regular sharpie might be too fat for some of the spaces. They will be beautiful, but just keep in mind there are a few areas that are more challenging. Children as young as 3 have done these crafts and they turn out really nice. Be creative. Don't be afraid to do some parts on the front, some on the back or use marker and a thin paint brush combo. My 12 year old daughter enjoyed the challenge of doing one of the round ones but she colored it mostly on the back with highlights on the front. Coloring it on the back creates a softer look that many are starting to prefer.

If you are ordering the one of each to decide which one you want for YW camp, you may substitute out the bit version for a SLC temple, candle or Jesus in Gethsemane. Just message me that you want that option. Remember to order the one of each for both the style and the pack of when checking out. That will give you a sample set of 6.

One more note: if you are copying this in any way shape or form, you are stealing our art. Unfortunately we have had a lot of people think that because it is for a good cause they can steal it. Please do not. We put a lot of thought and work into what we share with you. Please respect that. Thanks to those of you that do!

Ideas on how to use faux stained glass frames:

1. Many people use Sharpie markers to create a stained glass effect. They were designed to color on the front but many people have found they love the softness of coloring on just the back and sometimes people will color on both sides (because it’s fun and they aren’t ready to be done with the project yet) or color part on the front and part on the back for an added emphasis. With this project, you will see that there is right way to do it!

Some people spray the frames with an acrylic spray on top of the marker. Some people cover them in a glossy mod podge. Some people have used rubbing alcohol with sharpie to spread, dilute or remove some of the color. Personally I think sharpies are best for children ages 5-10+ but people older than that can also use this method and find enjoyment. Many girls camps used this method the last couple of years and they turn out beautiful.

2. Some people choose to paint these with a stained glass paint, acrylic paint pens (many like the brush tips best), acrylic modeling paint…The black part looks best if it can stay black so this activity is best for people 9+ I feel.

3. Using clear UV resin over top the sharpie is also a fun effect some people have liked. Some people have used colored resin in each of the holes. Personally I love the look of resin and find it to be a very enjoyable craft for responsible young women or even adults. As an adult, I found fulfillment in this method. I have seen this activity done a couple times as a mother/daughter activity and it was super successful. I would not do it with children or immature youth.

4. We’ve even had people tear paper and put in those tiny spots and mod podge them in! Another I just heard of is mod podge colored with food coloring. That is one method I haven't tried yet.
Honestly there have been so many beautiful and creative ways to use these.

If you are wanting to test out a couple of methods, I would recommend purchasing a few extra to experiment with. If you are purchasing over 30, feel free to message me and request I include a flawed design for free for you to experiment on. This may or may not be this actual design, but the concept will be the same so you will know what to expect when you are teaching the class to others.

These also look nice printed in silver but are slightly more expensive that way. If you are interested in pricing for that let me know.

****Warning**** Keep out of hot car or hot mailboxes. these may warp in hot summer weather. It was 110 last summer and a bunch of 10 of these sat in my car for over an hour and they warped. They were able to be fixed by getting them warm again and putting them on a cookie sheet to flatten, but don’t make the same mistake I did!
