I have noticed while on a Teams call and the phone is charging, on a hot day my phone heats up. This may be my aging phone. The way I get around this problem is to just unplug the phone charger from the cigarette lighter power adapter while on the Teams call. Once the call is over, I plug it back in to resume charging.

I’ve had a few customers mention that their phone wasn’t holding as securely as expected, and in most cases it came down to one simple thing:

👉 The mount needs to be pressed fully inward toward the screen to achieve the best fit and strongest hold. Check out the photo with my finger pointing at how far the phone mount needs to be pressed in. It should go all the way in until it is stopped by the vent.

If you notice a little vibration, that is totally normal, as this is a Jeep not a Mercedes, the ride vibrates through the dash into the mount and transfers to the phone.

If your phone doesn't stick well to the magnet, it most likely is a case incompatibility. Some cases do not allow the phone to lay flat up against the magnetic charger base. Some cases are loose fitting which puts too much space or even a gap between the charger magnet and the phone. Apple made cases are not the best, customers have reported these cases tend to cause the phone to fall on rough roads. Please consider changing your phone case to one that is meant for magnetic charging and one that allows the phone to lay flat up against the magnetic charger base. I want to share a quick update about this mount. I was recently made aware that Jeeps with very rough rides—such as those with lift kits or suspension modifications—may occasionally cause a phone to decouple from the magnetic charger. As soon as this was brought to my attention, I began working with my charging component supplier to increase the magnet strength. I’m actively collaborating with them now to improve this part of the design.
