It’s the classic love story…

Queen meets prince, queen falls madly in love with prince, queen loses prince to typhoid. Victoria reigned as the Queen of England for sixty-four years. Her love for her Prince Albert and baubles inspired trends in Victorian jewelry.

From the Victoria Digs Albert Collection:

‘Victoria Digs Plumes’ Necklace

A gleaming swirl of solid brass ostrich feathers, 1 3/4" in diameter, is the centerpiece of this plumy work of art and deservedly so. It's beyond pretty in person.

While swaying from a glorious 32"L. of 14k gold-filled, textured chain, this fledged ornament is enhanced by three, tourmilated Herkimer diamonds (a nom de plume for water clear quartz crystals) that have been placed asymmetrically on one side of the chain. Sans clasp. The brass has been lacquered to protect the finish.

You won't want to hide your head in the sand while wearing this!

Did you know that ostriches only eat sand? Contrary to popular belief, they do not hide their heads in it.
