Required materials:
FABRIC:
SHELL: 1 1/4 Yards (1.14 m) of at least 44” (1.12 m) Wide Fabric
LINING: 1 Yard (.91 m) of at least 44” (1.12 m) Wide Fabric
-Matching Thread
-Interfacing: 3/4 Yard (.69 m) of at least 20” (.51 m) Wide Fusible Interfacing
-12” Invisible Zipper
-Optional: Hook & Eye
-Scissors
-Pins
-Ruler
-Sewing Machine
-Serger
*For finishing raw edges. If you do not have a serger, try a zig zag stitch on your
home sewing machine.

Suggested Fabric:
SHELL & LINING: Light to medium-weight fabric with little to no stretch, such as plain cotton or crepe. Examples are sewn with a crepe and a cotton flannel. Both are lined with crepe back satin.

Printing & Pattern Assembly:
Print out at 100% scale- (do NOT print “Fit to Page”). Use the scale on page 1 of your pattern to double check printing has been done correctly. Check out pdfplotting.com for inexpensive large format pattern printing. If printing out on your home printer, line up the edges of the sheets of paper and tape together. Your printer may print the pattern with margins if it does not support borderless printing which is OK. Do NOT trim down or overlap sheets of paper. Make sure you are using the print file that corresponds with your paper size (Ex. the Letter Size File with Letter Size Paper. Letter size paper is primarily used in the United States, Canada, and parts of Latin America). Cut on the line that corresponds with your desired size. 1/2” (12.7 mm) seam allowance has already been included in the pattern unless otherwise stated.

This was a great project and ended up being the best thing I have made so far in my sewing journey! That being said there are a few things to note - firstly this pdf pattern does not have borders, and most standard printers do not allow borderless printing (meaning there will be sections you need to fill in). Secondly I feel the instructions could be a bit more detailed when it came to the zipper insertion (but there are plenty of additional resources online for this). Overall very happy with my skirt and I will be making more in the future!

I made quite a few modifications to this pattern, I lowered the waistline, shortened it a bit and added the zipper to the side seam instead of the back center. Before making theses changes I asked for advice and got great tips!!! The customer service is amazing and really helpful 🫶 my only problem with the pattern is that my first mock up came out way too big. I don’t know if I made a mistake with the sizing or if it has anything to do with the pattern. In the end everything worked out and I really love the skirt I made.
