Vintage French Tripod Stool Chair Seat Wooden Milking Kitchen D Shaped Seat Braced Bobbin Leg Rest Stand Plinth Tabouret c1960-70's / EVE

An always popular vintage French traditional wooden milking stool with bobbin style braced legs. We call these DT stools; D for the seat and T for the brace. A great pot stand for a rustic location or as a stool. This one is in good structural condition and fair cosmetic condition. Some signs of age as detailed below. Ready for light work.

Size roughly: 41h x 32 x 26 cm - 16h x 12.5 x 10 inches extreme measurements (seat 26 x 17.5 cm - 10 x 7 inches)
Weight: 1.3 kg (over 2kg when safely wrapped so expensive to ship but cost of shipping is the same from 2kg to 5kg. Buy something else of a similiar weight at the same time and we can likely ship it in the package for no extra charge!)
Condition: in vintage condition with signs of previous use, wear and scratches, these stools are initially made without the use of glue or nails and rely on good joints only, usually over the years the joints wear a little, the joints on this one have wiggle and movement, especially where the legs enter the seat, if for static lighter use such as a plant stand it is strong and stable as is but if its going to be moved around a lot we would suggest a competant woodworker takes a look to stiffen up the joints a little, the legs are starting to poke up through the seat a little, the varnish is very worn, note the marks to the seat where a plant pot has stood, a fair example of these very popular stools, please see all pictures

* Note. Postage from France falls into bands. Up to 2kg is a reasonable cost but anything over 2kg gets expensive. The more expensive bands are 2-5kg, 5-10kg, 10-20kg and 20-30kg. Intended Use: This vintage stool is intended for decorative purposes and light use only. It is not designed to support heavy weights or rigorous use.
Weight Limit: Maximum weight capacity in its current state is is 80 kg (170 lbs). Exceeding this limit may result in damage to the stool and potential injury.
Condition: Due to its vintage nature, this stool may have signs of wear and tear, being made of old wood we cannot guarantee it's long term durability although it has alread been around for 50 years! Please inspect the stool carefully before use.
Stability: Ensure the stool is placed on a flat, stable surface to prevent tipping. Avoid using the stool on uneven or slippery surfaces. Do not stand on this stool.
Maintenance: Regularly check the stool for any signs of deterioration. Tighten any loose joints with wood glue as necessary. Do not use the stool if it shows significant structural damage.
Children: This stool is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children to prevent accidents.
Indoor Use: This stool is recommended for indoor use only. Exposure to outdoor elements may accelerate wear and compromise safety.
