Do Your VHS Tapes Work?

Yes! I personally test all the tapes I offer on my personal VCRs. I inspect for mold and quality and make sure I'm only offering tapes I'd be happy receiving for the price I paid.

Are these original tapes or "customs"?

Right now I'm only offering true, original, vintage VHS tapes. If I ever decide to include others, they will be clearly marked as CUSTOM.

What's the difference between "tested" and "fully tested?"

"Fully tested" means that I have watched the tape start to finish, while "tested" means that I have played the tape in my VCR, rewound, fast-forwarded and ejected with no issues.

Are the tapes in good condition?

I try to photograph every item I offer honestly, showing any wear, tear or damage that may be present. Any condition issue is purely aesthetic, all items work as intended.

If you ship from Canada, why does my shipping label say New York?

I do ship from Ontario, Canada. First I send your package to a distribution centre in Ontario, and then they take it across the border to another distriubution centre in the USA (usually New York). There they create a new shipping label and send it on to you. This helps to keep shipping costs down, and the service is still quick.
