Can I edit the design myself?

Some designs are self-editable templates, while others are ready-to-download printables or personalized by me. For self-editable templates, you’ll receive access to customize the available text with your own names, dates, wording, and other event details. No special software is required. Please check each listing description to see exactly what can be edited and how the item will be delivered. Important: Colors, graphics, illustrations, and other design elements may be locked and are not editable unless specifically stated in the listing.

Where can I print my design?

You can print your design at home, at a local print shop, or through an online printing service. For professional printing, I recommend Prints of Love for high-quality prints, fast turnaround, and excellent customer service. Order through my special link to receive FREE shipping & envelopes: Prints of Love – The Playful Mouse Use code MOUSE10 for 10% off orders of $49 or more. Please note: Printing options may vary depending on the product you purchase. Check the individual listing for recommended size, file type, and printing instructions.

What’s the turnaround time if you personalize the design for me?

For designs personalized by me, your completed file is typically delivered within 24 hours, provided all required personalization details are submitted at the time of purchase. If additional information or clarification is needed, the turnaround time may be extended until I receive your response. Please note: Self-editable templates do not require a 24-hour turnaround—you’ll receive access to personalize those designs yourself after purchase.

Can I request a different size for my digital file?

Many designs can be resized upon request. If you need a size that isn’t included with your purchase, please message me before ordering to confirm that your requested size is available. Please note that resizing availability may vary depending on the design and product type. Self-editable templates may have specific size limitations, so be sure to check the individual listing details.

What type of paper should I use?

Paper choice depends on the item you’re printing and your personal preference. For most invitations, signs, games, and party printables, I recommend white cardstock for a sturdy, professional finish. For coloring pages and children’s activities, regular printer paper or a slightly heavier matte paper works well. For the best results, always check your printer’s recommended paper types and weight limits.

Can I use my digital file for commercial purposes?

No. All designs purchased from The Playful Mouse are for PERSONAL USE ONLY and may not be used for commercial purposes. You may print and use your purchased design for your own personal event or celebration. You may not resell, redistribute, share, copy, sublicense, or make the digital files or templates available to others, whether modified or unmodified. Purchasing an editable template does not transfer ownership of the design or grant commercial-use rights. © The Playful Mouse. By purchasing from The Playful Mouse, you agree to these terms of use.

How do I access my digital files?

Access instructions depend on the type of product you purchased. Instant Download Files: Once your payment is confirmed, your files will be available through your Etsy account under Purchases and Reviews. Etsy will also send an email with your download information. Self-Editable Templates: For editable templates, you’ll receive instructions for accessing and personalizing your design online. Please check the individual listing for specific access details. Please note: Digital files cannot currently be downloaded through the Etsy app. If you're having trouble accessing an Etsy download, sign in to Etsy using a web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Do you offer refunds on digital products?

Due to the digital nature of my products, all digital sales are final and non-refundable once files or template access have been provided. However, if you experience an issue with your purchase, please reach out. I’m always happy to help troubleshoot and make sure you’re able to use your files as intended. Please read the listing description carefully before purchasing to ensure the product meets your needs.

Can I request additional text edits beyond what’s being personalized?

For designs personalized by me, I’m happy to accommodate reasonable text changes whenever possible. Please include your requested wording when placing your order or message me before purchasing if you’re unsure whether a change can be made. For self-editable templates, you can personalize the available text fields yourself. Please note that some text, graphics, colors, or design elements may be locked and cannot be changed. Requests that require significant changes to the original design may require an additional customization fee.

How do self-editable templates work?

After purchasing a self-editable template, you’ll receive instructions for accessing your design online. You can personalize the available text fields with your own event details, then download your finished design for printing or digital sharing. No special design software is required. Please check the individual listing for details on what can and cannot be edited.
