We’ve just finished the limited edition [50] posters for the finale show for our great friends “So It Goes“. The phrase appears 116 times in Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse Five” and gave the band it’s name. In the book the main character Billy Pilgrim says he’d like the phrase “Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt” on his epitaph so we found it a fitting end to the groups career as a band.

Besides the quote, the concept was to incorporate the 80’s root of the band, as well as a sarcastic take on death. What evolved was an image of the Grim Reaper experiencing the classic 80’s Maxell “Blown Away” ad [where Steve Steigman was the photographer and Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" was used for music].

Extremely special thanks to the gifted surrealist artist Alison Lindburg for her excellent illustration of the concept.

The very limited edition 9″ x 24″ posters are on sale and hand signed by the entire band as well as the artist Clinton Lugert.
