*** Important questions to consider before buying insect displays ***
----------------------------------------------------------------

.~ Does the glass in the frame easily slide around?
If it does, it means the display is not sealed and not built for longevity. Bug Under Glass has sealed displays.

~ What does the back of the display look like?
A quality long lasting display has a solid backing; and not made of paper, matboard or cardboard. Bug Under Glass has solid particleboard backings with no large gaps.

~ Does the display require fumigants to maintain the display?
Dangerous fumigants are not welcome in my displays or home.

~ Is fun natural history information included?
This is personal choice but isn't it more fun to know some fun facts about the displayed specimen - this makes it a true conversation piece and educational. Bug Under Glass displays come with complete natural history information.

BUG UNDER GLASS is your alternative to mass-produced, low-quality and short-lived insect displays. My creations are true museum displays and designed to last a lifetime. This is why my insect displays are the first choice of interior designers and stylists.

Frequently asked questions about BugUnderGlass

Like all fine artwork, avoid direct sunlight and extreme humidity.
Yes, please contact me with your idea and I can give you a quote.
My insects come from sustainable conservation farms/ranches around the world. I do not sell rare, endangered or insects recognized as unsustainable (Dragonflies, Bats, rare beetles).
By linking environmental stewardship and economic development, butterfly farming positively impacts threatened habitats as well as human well-being. Currently used by conservation organizations, such as the Nature Conservancy and WWF, Butterfly farming helps save rainforest habitat by providing villagers an alternative income to agricultural farming and logging, which clears tropical forest. for more info Google "butterfly farming"
Since these displays are professionally made using UV blocking glass (so colors won't fade) and archival mounting boards - they can potentially last forever if treated with care. Most sellers are hobbyiest and DO NOT use UV glass or use proper materials - -and they will not last.
