What a wonderful collector souvenir pillow! This vintage black velvet souvenir pillow is from Munich, Germany from the 1972 Olympics. An event that unfortunately turned into what is remembered as the Munich Olympic Massacre.

Pillow case measures 17 inches by 17 inches square.

There is gold rick rack trim surrounding the hand painted scene, dangley gold trim framing the entire pillow case, and has a single metal snap button closure on the side. Snap button is in good condition and holds tight. Back is a crisp coral color.

The rick rack fringe around one of the corners of the pillow case has come a little loose. But I think it would be a snap for any savy seamstress. The paint on one of the Olympic rings has been chipped This vintage piece has traveled far in its 40 year life time, and think of the stories it could tell. There are no rips, stains,or tears.

Would be a perfect addition to your collection, don't miss out on this great historical pillow case!
