Do you remember taking a ride in the blue, green, yellow or ivory trams to Mount Rushmore?

The Rushmore Aerial Tramway was finished in 1965. Originally it consisted of 4 sets of covered cars as seen below. Its sole purpose was as a sight-seeing chairlift. The view of Mt. Rushmore shown is the one visible from the Mountain Top Park. At the summit, viewing decks were built, and walking trails, waterfalls and flower beds were created using the native granite. All these are still in use today.

In the 90's the chairlifts were replaced by 16 gondolas, these were replaced by 36 chairlifts recently and that is what takes you up to the top now.

Neat little souvenir collectible of a time long gone.

Sticker is from the late 60's to early 70's is in excellent condition and measures 9.5" L X 2" H. A stampeding bull logo in the lower left corner shows it was made by GWF Inc.

Please have a look around at my other vintage items. Thanks for stopping in.
