This beautiful shawl in tradition was used as a wedding veil and then as a christening shawl for the first born child.
The famous name traditionally comes from the the fact that, the shawl is so fine it would slide through a wedding ring.
Traditionally knitted in 1 ply cobweb lace, however this version I have made in a very fine 100% white egyptian cotton, which makes it a lot stronger and versatile.
Measures 48" square
Beautiful wedding veil, shawl or christening wrap, that can be used over and over again and still keep that 'family heirloom' status.
Hand wash only
