Highlights

Up for sale is this vintage/antique pierced metal lamp shade. It has an elaborate, art deco design cut into the side with swirls in the middle and vertical lines along the edges. It is made out of sturdy, silver toned metal/silver plate that is tarnished darker on the inside. It has a cone shape that is wide on the bottom and small at the top. These pieces were originally made in the late 1800s/early 1900s and would have been used on oil lamps or candles with a Mica liner. Today these would be perfect for refurbishing a lamp or even for setting on top of a candle or light to create some impressive shadows.

It measures approximately 3 1/8 inches tall. It is about 2 inches wide at the top and 5 ½ inches wide at the bottom.

It is in good condition with no cracks, dents or deep scratches but it does show some antique wear. It have some light bends and are slightly warped. There is some tarnish on the surface of the metal and it is completely black on the insides. There is some wear of the silver plate where the copper/brass shows through the edges of the pierced sections.
