All items list measurements in inches, and I am happy to provide additional measurements when requested. Clothing measurements provided are of the GARMENT, not of the person it is meant to fit. If a garment has a size tag, I will disclose it. Vintage sizes vary GREATLY from modern day sizing and I strongly recommend that you have a tape measure and determine your measurements. It will be invaluable and prevent you from purchasing an item that doesn't fit the way you would like it to. My estimates of equivalent modern sizes are based on Anthropologie size charts for women, JCrew for men, and Torrid for plus size. You may also wish to compare the measurements of the item to the size chart of a brand whose items fit you well.

I do not always list care instructions for my items. Most vintage dishes should NOT be put in a dishwasher, as it will destroy their finishes. Vintage clothing care varies greatly depending on the item. My clothing and linen items are either a) washed in a commercial laundromat, or b) dry cleaned. If I do not have the expertise to clean an item, I will list any issues or concerns in the item details. If an item came to me with its original tags on it, I will not remove them to launder the item. They may be aired out, and if there are any obvious issues I will note them in the item details.

My home is a non-smoking home, and very pet-friendly. Once cloth items have been laundered, they are placed into plastic clothing bags and stored in sealed bins. I do not have on-site laundry, and my laundry service uses scented detergent. I often do not know the history of items coming to me. Some "vintage" or "thrift store" odors can be pervasive, especially to people with a sensitive sense of smell. Common smells that vintage sellers encounter are mold, mothballs, smoke, musty basement, animal odors, or plain old "sitting in the attic for 30 years" smells. Any known odors will be disclosed in a listing, though typically I will not list items that I know to have an issue (unless it is deadstock or very desirable).

I am happy to ship internationally! Shipping fees are quite high for international orders, I know. My shipping fees are calculated based on weight and size of packages, and I do not add handling fees. International First Class is significantly less expensive than Priority, but may take longer. I do not alter the item cost on customs forms, because I can be fined or penalized for doing so. Marking an item as "gift" does not prevent customs fees from being imposed by your country. Your country may impose fees or taxes that are outside of Etsy, which you would be responsible for paying separately, outside of Etsy. Any taxes, VAT, etc collected by Etsy are not forwarded to me. Please refer to your local customs office for full information

I run sales on occasion, especially around the holidays. If you have Etsy notifications turned on, you may get emails from Etsy about your favorited items going on sale! Any shipping prices listed are calculated automatically based on size and weight, so discounts are not based on shipping prices. Etsy has lots of coupons for favorited items, or items left in your cart, so those notifications are great! While I am not always willing to discount an item, I am always happy to receive offers and I am always respectful with my replies!

I accept returns! Undamaged and unaltered items may be returned to me as long as they are shipped back to me within 14 days of when you received them. Contact me prior to shipping so I can give you instructions, as Etsy does not have a formalized return system. If your item was damaged in transit, definitely wait for my reply - if it requires me to file a claim with the post office, I will refund you immediately and handle the claim myself - and you most likely won't even need to return the item to me.

I typically ship items within 1 business day, but please note in your order if you need it by a specific date. For items that include shipping in the price, I will ship first class mail if the item is under 16oz. In the US, both Priority and First Class mail have a 1-3 day ship time (seems based on location). First class has no insurance. International First Class usually takes 2-4 weeks, and International Priority is 6-10 business days. Every country’s postal service is different and may be a contributing factor in delays. Please see usps.com for specific or official information.
