Oh ladies, the original bluebird corset is no longer available (sigh!) but, I can make you another (ooohh!). Send me a convo and ask me all about it. Because I do want to make you one. I do I do I do!

From Plate 113 of John James Audubon's Birds of America. The original has three blue birds; I've only included the mother and baby here. I've also changed the perch from a mullein flower to a dogwood tree, and the insect that is being fed to the baby from a caterpillar (who looks cartoonishly distraught in the original, you should check it out, it is funny) to a honeybee. All of these changes were made because I thought it would be pretty.

The corset is a Flexees size small: waist size 25-26. I'd say it will fit prettily on smaller waists (22-28), and up to a 30. The corset is very stretchy and originally intended to reshape the mid section, but the image will distort if stretched past a point.
OH YEAH, in addition to looking awesome as formal wear, as lingerie, and above your favorite pair of ass pants and/or jeans, the models pointed out that these corsets take a lot of weight off of your lower back. Lumbar support is the new black.

All of these items are drawn free hand with permanent marker. They are one of a kind and no less than five but as many as forty hours went in to each one.

DO NOT DRY CLEAN. They hold up fine in a washer and dryer; I have a piece that has been washed twice a month for a year and a half and it has stayed bright (just think about if you ever get sharpie on your clothes, it doesn't come out) but for the sake of color stay over the years I'd recommend hand-washing in cold water and line drying. Perhaps only spot washing for the most part.

The Blue Bird Corset ships 24 business hours after payment and will spend no less than two days in the mail as it is being shipped from Alaska.
