The Leafy Green Umbrella Designed by Stormy Weather Umbrellas NYC [The Shop Owners]

The perfect bright umbrella on for a gloomy day! This leafy canopy hovers above a blonde wood shaft that is accented by a cheery green leaf handle.

My boyfriend [now husband] and I decided to open an umbrella design company in the early years of our romance . We found retail success and sold to Barney's NY, Bloomingdales, The Brooklyn Museum and many smaller boutiques throughout the country. The umbrellas sold from $90.00 to $125.00 price point in stores. We had our own booth in the Grand Central Market @ Grand Central Station for many Christmas and Spring seasons. We were hired to design and manufacture umbrellas for the Whitney Museum of Art as well as SFMOMA.

Our fabric designs coordinate with matching handles, molded in high impact, matte plastic. They were designed to be held comfortably and securely in a storm and look stylish resting in an umbrella stand or corner.

Our umbrellas are very high quality. They have solid wood shafts, a reinforced tip and a sewn fabric inner frill above. They feature a fully waterproof cotton/poly fabric and they don't blow inside out in most storms. While they were designed in NYC we manufactured through the top umbrella maker in the world for our finished product.

As our family grew we could not keep up with our “side” umbrella business. Now happily in Brooklyn, we find ourselves with ever less storage space and realize it's time to offer our umbrellas for sale again.
