Salvaged from a well loved copy of the 1930’s edition of the Firelight Book of Nursery Stories is this lovely print of Aladdin entering the garden of the lamp, by English illustrator John Hassall.

The page measures 7 ¾ x 10 with the printed image measuring 6 x 8 ¼ inches. This nostalgic print is in beautiful condition without rips, tears or markings. On the reverse side is the title Aladdin and the Wonderful Map and a black and white line drawing of Aladdin with the Genie’s lamp

About the artist John Hassall ~~ John Hassall was born in Walmer, Kent on 21 May 1868, died 8 March 1948 and was an English illustrator.
