Our cutting boards are ready to use out the packaging. When washing, rinse with water, use a soft soapy sponge to clean, rinse and immediately dry after. Once a month apply board wax to keep your board in pristine shape.

Will my cutting board warp?

Whatever you do, DO NOT SOAK IN WATER! GREMLINS will start to pop up. NEVER run in dishwasher. Keep it oiled and waxed and dry immediately after washing is a MUST! If you follow this, your board will last for a long time!

Will my cutting board stay the same color overtime?

No! Woods change color over time, exposure to various foods. e.g. Cherry darkens, Maple darkens, Paduk can lose its illustrious striking orange red color with UV exposure as well as Purple Heart.

Sand with the 80 grit sandpaper for bigger cuts, then working up to finest 320 till smooth to touch.
Make sure your wood surface is clean and dry.
Apply a small amount of wax using a cloth or your hands.
Let it absorb for 15–30 minutes (or overnight for deeper conditioning).
Buff off any excess with a clean cloth.

Glad it arrived well! I made this recipe thicker with more beeswax, slightly less fractionated coconut oil to try to be firmer with a higher melting point. I can always make it thicker if needs be since I have a LOT of beeswax that needs to be used one way or another.
