Haiti Relief: Haiti's three largest heritage libraries and the National Archives — keepers of of Haiti’s complicated, heroic, rich history were damaged in the earthquake. There is now a desperate need to rescue and preserve Haiti's Historical books (some date from the 16 century), rare manuscripts and newspapers that chronicle the story of Haiti; it's French Colonization, slavery and emancipation. Most of these documents were in four intuitions clustered in downtown Port-au-Prince.
