Get face-to-face with some of North America's 4,000 native bee species!

These beautiful bees are pollinating superheroes. They're responsible for many of the fruits and vegetables we love, like blueberries, watermelon, cherries, apples and tomatoes. A single female mason bee (Osmia lignaria) can pollinate as many apple blossoms as 80 honey bees. Unlike their cousin the honey bee, which is not native to North America, wild bees don't live in hives or make honey.
