I spun with yarn on my wheel, with rolags I handcarded.

I would recommend that you gently wash your handspun yarn and the items you've crafted from it by hand, with a special wool soak, hand wash detergent, or gentle baby shampoo to avoid felting. However, if felting floats your boat, really give it some welly!

FAQs

I rinse every batch of wool very carefully after dyeing to minimise any bleeding, but it is possible that with the first rinse the fibre may bleed a little bit more. This is completely normal! It is all down to how saturated the wool was with the dye. The type of detergent you use to wash your handspun yarn may have an effect.
Dye is applied randomly, so no two braids will be the same even if from the same dye batch. It is recommended that you purchase all the fibre you need for your project at one time to eliminate any colour matching issues in the future.
Please note that all monitors vary – although my photographs are as close to real life on my monitor, there may be slight tonal changes in the product from what you see in the listing.
Please contact me! Any incorrect orders or missing items will be shipped or exchanged at no extra cost to the customer.
Shipping details are the responsibility of the customer – please double check your details before you submit an order. Non-delivery due to incorrect/missing details will not result in a refund or re-shipping.
We have two shipping days at Spindles and Stitches. These are generally Wednesday and Saturday, but can also be Tuesday or Thursday. We aim to ship all orders within 3 working days. If for any reason we cannot keep to this timeline, the customer will be contacted. There will be no shipping days on UK Bank Holidays.
If you require super-speedy shipping outside of these two days, or are placing a large order and would like to insure it, please contact me before placing your order.
Packages will be sent with Royal Mail: orders to the UK will be sent with Royal Mail First Class, and all international orders will be sent with International Standard delivery. Packages are posted from the UK, though occasionally may be shipped from within the EU. Shipping costs will not change in this case.
UK orders normally take 1-3 working days, and overseas orders 7-15 working days. If an order has not arrived in this time, please do contact me. As Royal Mail does not classify UK items missing until 15 working days after shipping, and international items 30 working days after shipping, I cannot replace your order before these times. Please also check with your local mail depot and with your neighbour – your package might be there!
