Description

They're finally back! Our wildly popular bundles are back in stock for 2018! We had an unusual harvest this year, brought about by a very cool spring/summer. Bundles are extremely limited this year, so if you've been wanting one, don't hesitate, as we will sell out quickly!

Our premium grade lavender bundles are perfect when you need the very best lavender to show off in your home or bouquet. Only the longest, most beautiful stems make it to our premium grade bundles (if you are looking for craft grade bundles, we offer those too! See our listing here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/542785885/organic-craft-grade-dried-french?ref=shop_home_active_1).

Point One Acres is a small farm located in serene Anderson Valley, famous for incredible Pinot Noir, majestic redwoods, and quaint charm. Our lavender is grown in the warm California sunshine, and cooled by the Pacific Ocean's breezes caressing our ridgetop. The lavender we grow is Lavandula x intermedia ‘Grosso’ (also known as Lavandin), a French variety, renowned for its hardiness, deep aroma, stunning large and deep blue-violet flower heads, and quality of essential oil. It is the most common variety grown for the perfume and cosmetics industries due to its wonderful oil. Our large plants, when in bloom, can measure more than 5 feet across! Grosso is known for having a unique camphor-like backnote, overlaid with the lovely sweet floral characteristics you expect from lavender.

Our lavender products are created by hand, with love and attention to detail! We do not use any chemicals or pesticides to treat our plants. The bees are our friends and we want them here on our property! In fact, we dedicate several plants as "just" for the bees, and do not harvest from those plants. The water source for our drip irrigation comes from our well, and is filtered prior to meeting the lavender plants, making our lavender ideal for culinary pursuits!

Each morning, we visit the lavender field and walk among the happy bees at work, and choose the buds, flowers, or stems for the day's project.

Our dried lavender bundles are harvested by hand, before all of the flowers have opened and become brittle, and dried for about 1 week. Each bundle will contain stems of smaller, shorter stems intermingled with the long stems. We currently offer two sizes of bundles:

- Small bundles average 11" - 16" long, with a circumference of about 5". Each bundle weighs about 4 oz.
- Large bundles average 14" - 20" long, with a circumference of about 8". Each bundle weighs about 10 oz.
***WE ARE SOLD OUT OF LARGE BUNDLES FOR THE 2018 GROWING SEASON, THANK YOU!***

The bundles are gathered with a rubber band, and finished with a ribbon of your choice. Select your preference at checkout! We roll the bundle in tissue paper before packing for shipping to your home.

Dried lavender bundles are fragile, and there will be shedding during transit, despite our best efforts to pack to perfection! Bundles do ship in a large sized box with lots of packing paper to protect during transit. Although light in weight, USPS does charge based on the dimensions of the box, and distance from California.

Etsy calculates shipping automatically based on size and weight - I have no control over this. For those ordering multiple bundles in one order, there *WILL* be a shipping refund after your purchase! :) It weighs about 2 lbs to ship one bundle due to box, packaging, and contents, but another can be added to the same box for less (it is not 4 lbs to ship two bundles). Contact me for details.

Store your bundles in a cool, dark place, protected from light, until ready for use. Once on display, your bundles will last 6 months - 1 year if kept out of sunlight. You can refresh the scent by gently squeezing the flowers, or by spritzing with lavender hydrosol!

***Please note: we recycle shipping boxes and packing materials wherever possible. This means you may receive our package marked with another retailer's name. Thank you for helping us reduce our footprint! ***
