Quiet Giant is an original watercolor painting of a bull moose feeding on water grasses in a northern lake. With only his head, neck, and massive antlers visible above the calm water, the size of the animal becomes the focus of the scene.

Moose are iconic symbols of the Northwoods, and I was drawn to the contrast between his enormous antlers and the quiet water surrounding him.
