ABOUT CORYTHOSAURUS

The hollow crest wasn't just for show - it was a musical instrument! Air passing through the crest's internal chambers could produce deep, resonant calls that traveled long distances. Corythosaurus grew up to 30 feet long and stood about 9 feet tall. Corythosaurus was discovered in 1912 by the famous paleontologist Barnum Brown in Alberta's Dinosaur Provincial Park - one of the richest dinosaur fossil sites in the world.
