This is Gotham City! Carbon Print No.19 is a 5x7.5 inch (~ 13x19cm) black and white fine art photograph print of a NYC building with many windows in a film noir style. This piece was the inspiration for Viktor and Rolf's Fall/Winter 2014 jewelry line in collaboration with Atelier Swarovski.

It is nineteen in a series I've been working on since the Spring of 2009 called The Carbon Project, which is a collection of photographs I've taken of random NYC buildings and processed to have a resemblance more like etchings. No canned effects nor filters are used to create the style. The images conjure up scenes from old comic books or illustrations, and show the architecture in new light.

It makes the perfect gift for lovers of film noir, old comic books (think Dick Tracy and Batman), etchings, nyc, fedoras and trenchcoats, speakeasys, dames, dark shadows, and old architecture. It also looks very nice paired on a wall next to Carbon Print No.18, (the lighter version) as a sort of diptych.

Your 5x7 inch sMacVision print will be made on archival matte finished photo paper, ready for framing with or without a mat. It will be signed, and shipped promptly in an acid-free, archival sheet protector in a sturdy package.

(NOTE: the final photo depicts Carbon Print No.18 & 19 side by side. These are my working prints, small, for show only to illustrate how they look together. Carbon Print No.18 is sold in another listing.)
