Every order's real profit, every fee on its line.

A $48 order is not $48. Etsy takes its transaction fee, its payment processing, its listing fee and, if the order came through an offsite ad, up to fifteen percent more on top. Then you pay the label and you bought the leather. By the time the deposit lands it is a different number, and it is the only number that matters. This file works out every fee on every order from rates you type once, takes off the label and the materials, and tells you what each order and each listing actually cleared.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY

I already download the CSV. That gives you the gross. This nets it: every Etsy fee worked out per order, the shipping label you actually paid, the materials that went into the item, the margin, and the take rate. Then it adds the year up on the Schedule C lines.

The fees keep changing. They do, which is why not one of them is written into a formula. Every rate is a cream cell on the Setup tab with the date it was checked beside it. Etsy moves a rate, you move one number, and all 480 orders in the file recalculate.

Will my CPA use it? It reads like the form. Schedule C Part II lines 8 to 27a, Part III cost of goods sold lines 35 to 42, line 31, and a panel that reconciles the gross figure Etsy's 1099-K will report against the number that belongs on line 1.

- Expenses, one row per receipt on its Schedule C line, with a mileage log at the IRS standard rate (72.5 cents through June 2026 and 76 cents from July, both editable). The per-order Etsy fees are never typed here; they come off the orders
- Schedule C, Part II lines 8 to 27a and Part III cost of goods, with line 31 and the 1099-K reconciliation panel
- Dashboard, this month's orders and this year's profit on one screen, the fee split, the top listings by profit, and the five orders with the worst margin so you know what to reprice
- Year View, twelve rows: orders, units, gross, every fee line, labels, materials, expenses, net profit and miles, with two charts

The worked sample inside is an invented handmade and print-on-demand shop, January to August 2026: 14 listings, 480 orders, 852 units, $23,993.50 of gross sales, $3,236.81 of Etsy fees at a 13.5 percent average take rate, $4,101.96 once Etsy Ads and the subscription are counted, one deposit $18.40 short and flagged, and $4,631.52 on Schedule C line 31. Clear the sample rows and the formulas stay.

ONE ORDER, ALL THE WAY DOWN

$48.50 in. Transaction fee $3.15, payment processing $1.71, offsite ads $7.28, listing fee twenty cents. That is $12.34 of fees, a 25.4 percent take. Then the label at $9.14 and the materials at $11.30. $15.72 yours. Without the offsite ad the same order clears $23.00. That one is in the file, on its own row, with every column showing its work.

THE BLOCK NOTHING ELSE SHIPS

Type what you want to clear and the Fee Calculator solves the list price backwards. To clear $20.00 on that same item with an offsite ad, list it at $45.59, not $42.00, and the check line runs the solved price back through the fees and lands on $20.00 to the cent.

OFFSITE ADS, PROPERLY

Fifteen percent while your shop is under ten thousand dollars in the past 365 days, and you can switch it off. Twelve percent once you pass it, and you cannot. Every order in this file picks its own rate from its own date, so a year that straddles the threshold adds up correctly instead of approximately.

Open in Excel, or upload to Google Sheets, or open in Numbers. Fill in Setup with your listings and the current fee rates. Log each order with its label and materials. Type each deposit when it lands. Read the Dashboard on deposit day and the Schedule C page in January.
