We fell for this Pixiu at first sight, hand-carved from genuine stone with real veining, charming and modern rather than fearsome, yet still mighty in meaning. What held us was the deep blue-green shimmer that shifted with the light. The harder part was finding companion stones to match its size and density, until a trusted source led us to Green Kyanite in the exact shade. Aligning stones this closely is never easy, but we waited until we found it.
"Nila" from Sanskrit means deep blue-green, the colour of the stone. "Vajra" means thunderbolt, the indestructible force that guards all you hold.
