Description

Oil pitcher made by traditional italian majolica technique:

Majolica is a general term for pottery glazed with an opaque tin enamel that conceals the color of the clay body. It has been made since the fourteenth century. Today's collector is most likely to find Victorian majolica.

Majolica became popular in many countries. By the 1860s, Gustavsberg (Sweden) had abandoned transfer-printed creamware for majolica.

Size:
9.3 cm base =3.7''
26 cm tall = 10.2''

This is the first product I have bought off Etsy that I have been disappointed with. These are labelled as espresso cups but are actually quite large (the size is provided in the listing so obviously this is partially my fault but when I buy an espresso cup I do kinda expect it to be a standard espresso cup size). It does seem like they were intended to be tea-light holders and have been mis-labelled - a tealight fits perfectly inside of them. Also the rim is unglazed which is unpleasant to hold your lip to in order to sip. I was also disappointed with the quality of the colours, I like that they were a little messy and inconsistent but on several of the mugs there are yellow marks all over the place where they should not be. Keeping hold of them only because it would be a big faff to sent them back to Isreal from the UK.

I am sorry for to read your impression of the coffee cups that were ordered and sent to you - after I received so many compliments and additional invitations
It is clear from the pictures, and the inscription that this is an artistic handcraft, not an industrialized product, and therefore there is no room for comments, in addition to the personal impressions of the viewer
I suggested that the payment will be returned in full and that the cups will remain as a gift - but unfortunately I received no response
Recommend to visit my site and discover the opinions on these cups - from others
I will continue to maintain my level of performance and hope that others will appreciate it differently
