Great pattern. Well written, but take it slow making sure you understand how the pieces fit. I found a gluestick helpful when a little corner or two of the interfacing did not stick. The sewing binder clips work perfectly because pins bend. I am a longtime quilter so I used some of my favorite Japanese fabrics. I made an extra pocket with the selvedge names inside on the lining.
I don’t love curve matching, but the effort was worth it for the result! The construction was creative and I learned a new bag-making technique for the lining. I’ll make this again!
I realized I didn't make a review. I was intimidate at first as this was a big project for me. I have made 4 bags already and love the bags!! I am planning on making many more. I am making a bunch of matching cruise bags for my family. my last 2 bags I added a water bottle holder, key chain ring and on one a loop for a bagnet! this bag is perfect! can't wait to make more!
This pattern was very easy to follow, with very clear instructions. The most time consuming part was cutting out the pieces and applying the interfacing. The zipper installs were a little tricky but not too hard. Just follow the instructions carefully and you’ll be sporting a really cool pack in no time!
