ONE Devil Cavorting in Flames Patch Chainstitch Embroidered Patch Very Large

This listing is for one of two patches. If both are available, you will need to select the patch you want (A or B).

Each 5” x 5” square patch features a devil cavorting in flames with a trident. Be prepared to hunger for some devilled ham.

Both patches were stitched with 600D rayon thread using a vintage Singer 114W103 handcrank chainstitch machine. This is not computerized embroidery.

To capture the small details on these patches, very small stitches were used. While these are not large patches, the number of stitches are similar to what would be found on much larger pieces. These were not quick to stitch.

Ideally, you will stitch your patch to your desired garment or other item. This will allow you to remove the patch for washing or to transfer them to some other garment.

I will include iron on material that you can cut to fit the patch. I don’t recommend you use it, as it will make it difficult to remove and reattach the patch for garment washing. If you do apply the iron on material it, you should add some stitches to tack the patch down, if/when the fusing fails.

I do recommend you remove the patch prior to washing your garment. The rayon thread may bleed in the wash. Additionally, chainstitch will try to shrink and draw together in the wash. While felt pieces generally survive the wash well, you wash at your own risk – it will never look quite the same. If you accidentally or on purpose wash your patch, you can use an iron on low heat on the damp piece to gently restore it to near its original dimension

These were produced in a home filled with tiny devils masquerading as cats. Through some nefarious magic, they manage to find their way into my craft room. You are almost guaranteed to get some bonus cat hairs with this purchase. If you have a severe cat allergy, I regret that this store is not a good fit for you.
