Rainbow Window Film, Custom Cut to Size - Direct Sun Prism Effect

Rainbow window film, custom cut to your exact size. When direct sunlight hits the mosaic facets, they light up in color and cast moving reflections across the wall, floor and ceiling - a favorite for kids' rooms, nurseries, front doors and gifting. Without direct sun - on cloudy days, at night and on north-facing windows - the same pattern shows a clear, textured stained-glass look instead. You measure your glass, we plotter-cut the film to those dimensions and ship it ready to install - factory edges on all four sides, nothing to trim. A squeegee and step-by-step instructions come in the tube with every order.

HOW TO ORDER
1. Measure the glass only - not the frame - in inches, to the nearest 1/8".
2. Pick the size option that covers the LONGEST side of your glass. Example: a 21.25" x 46.75" pane is longer than 36", so it takes the "Up to 48" Long Side" option.
3. Type your exact Width x Height in the personalization box, for example 21.25 x 46.75.
Several panes of different sizes? Add each size to your cart as its own item. Several panes of the same size? Raise the quantity.

WIDE, LONG AND ROUND PANES
- The film comes off a 46" roll, so one seamless piece covers a pane up to 46" on its shorter side.
- Shorter side over 46"? Enter your true pane size and we make it in two pieces at no extra charge - the cut and the second piece are on us. Example: 46" x 80" is one piece; 47" x 80" is two. Horizontal or vertical seam - your choice; write H or V in the personalization box (H = pieces top and bottom, V = pieces side by side).
- Longer than 96"? Message us before ordering and we will work out the pieces with you.
- Circle: pick the option that covers the diameter and type "circle" and the diameter, for example circle 30.
- Rounded corners or an odd shape: order the rectangle that covers it and trim the corners with a utility knife while you install.

RAINBOWS NEED DIRECT SUN
When sunlight shines straight onto the mosaic facets, they catch the light in different colors and throw a moving, multicolored pattern into the room. East-facing windows get their show in the morning, west-facing windows in the evening, and south-facing windows can catch color for much of the day. Low winter sun sends the reflections deeper into the room.

CLOUDY DAYS, NIGHT AND NORTH-FACING GLASS
No direct sun on the glass means no rainbow - after dark, on overcast days and on glass that faces north. Then the film shows a clear, textured stained-glass look in one soft tone.

LIGHT PRIVACY
The mosaic softens the view while daylight keeps coming through. It is a light, decor film, not a privacy film: at night with lights on inside, people and shapes can be seen from outside. For privacy, choose one of our frosted films.

LOW-TACK ADHESIVE
The light pressure-sensitive bond is designed to keep corners and edges flat, and when it's time for a change, the film peels away without leaving sticky residue on the glass. No heat gun, no scraper, no scrubbing.

WET INSTALL - SQUEEGEE INCLUDED
Spray the glass and the adhesive side with mild soapy water, place the film - it slides while wet, so you can adjust it until it sits right - then spray the front and squeegee from the center outward. A large piece is easier to install with two people. Made for smooth and lightly textured clean glass; it is not made for heavily textured or pebbled glass, or glass that is already frosted.

GOOD TO KNOW
- A light haze right after installation is water drying behind the film; it clears on its own within a few days.
- Clean with a soft damp cloth; skip abrasive pads and solvent cleaners.
- Film cut to your size can't be returned or exchanged, so please double-check your measurements. If it arrives damaged or doesn't match your order, message us and we'll make it right.
