Aged Vintage MCM Stacked Acrylic Lamp Base Part As Is Restoration Project

PLEASE READ: This vintage lamp base is being sold aged, incomplete, and strictly as-is for restoration, repair, parts, or creative reuse. It is not a complete or functioning lamp and will require work before use. Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description.

This striking vintage Mid-Century Modern lamp base features a sculptural stacked design made with clear acrylic pieces and bold red acrylic accents. The geometric column has a wonderful retro, space-age look and may appeal to someone experienced with lamp restoration, acrylic repair, or creative repurposing.

The maker is unknown, and I could not find any visible identifying marks.

Condition
This lamp base is being sold aged and as-is for restoration, repair, parts, or creative reuse. It is incomplete and has only been lightly cleaned.

The acrylic shows considerable age and wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, haze, cloudiness, streaking, residue, surface marks, and discoloration. Noticeable residue and discoloration are present within or between portions of the lower clear acrylic sections. I am unsure of the cause, whether moisture or residue may be trapped between pieces, or how much the appearance could improve with additional cleaning or restoration.

There are chips, small edge losses, and nicks on portions of the clear acrylic, including the stacked geometric pieces and the lower circular section. Additional small imperfections may be present and may appear more noticeable under certain lighting or angles.

Some of the stacked clear acrylic pieces appear offset or out of alignment. I have not attempted to reposition or disassemble them.

The threaded metal pipe, nuts, and other visible hardware show heavy rust, oxidation, and wear. The hardware is extremely tight, and I did not attempt to force it apart or remove the nuts. I cannot guarantee that it can be disassembled easily or without damage.

The base has not been tested or evaluated for electrical use and is not being sold as a complete or functioning lamp. It will require work by someone familiar with lamp restoration.

I have tried to document the condition thoroughly in both the photos and description, but due to the number of surfaces, layers, and imperfections, I may have missed something. Please review every photo carefully and message me with questions or requests for additional photos before purchasing.

This listing is for the acrylic lamp base part only. No shade, socket, wiring, cord, harp, finial, or additional lamp hardware is included.
