Highlights
LUCID NATURE | Collection I: Kuro Nagaban (Low Tea Table)
Introduce the quiet, grounding presence of traditional Japanese design into your space. The Kuro Nagaban is a low-profile, monolithic floor table handcrafted from a single, thick block of solid timber. Standing at an intimate height of 21.5 cm, this long table is designed as a physical anchor for tea ceremonies, floor-seated meditation, or minimal art display.
The Timeless Beauty of Yakisugi & Heavy Brushing
The soul of this piece lies in the natural geometry of the wood, subjected to the traditional Japanese technique of Yakisugi. The timber is deeply carbonized by open flames, revealing a dramatic alligator-skin texture on the live-edges. Following the fire treatment, the wood undergoes heavy, intense brushing. This technique removes the soft soot to raise the high-relief three-dimensional pattern of the latewood grain, celebrating the raw, unrefined beauty of Wabi-sabi.
Permanently Fortified: Resin-Hardened Structural Guarantee
A primary concern with deeply carbonized wood is its fragile nature. We have engineered a definitive solution. The entire carbon structure of this table has been thoroughly impregnated and hardened with premium, structural-grade resins. This advanced preservation process binds the delicate carbonized layers deep within the timber, providing an absolute guarantee that the wood will never crumble, flake, or break. It transforms raw charcoal into a rock-solid, everlasting sculpture.
Zero Smudge: Hardened with Premium Hardwax-Oils
To complete the finish and ensure clean, worry-free handling, the surface is cured with multiple layers of professional, natural hardwax-oils. This specialized treatment locks in the rich matte black charcoal layer, making it entirely dry, smudge-proof, and clean to touch. It is fully safe for your hands, floor cushions, and precious tea ceremony accessories, allowing you to wipe the tabletop clean effortlessly.
