Green Chiretta Seeds — Andrographis paniculata

Choose a packet of 100 or 500 seeds of Andrographis paniculata, commonly known as green chiretta or kalmegh. It is an annual herb of tropical and subtropical regions, producing branching stems and small pale flowers. Seeds are supplied for botanical cultivation; no plants are included.

Sowing

Sow in a tray or small pots filled with clean, free-draining compost. Scatter the seeds thinly, press them into contact and cover only lightly. Water with a fine spray and maintain mild to warm conditions. Keep the surface evenly moist during establishment without saturating it, and provide bright light with regular air exchange. Germination timing varies with temperature and seed condition, so no fixed schedule is promised.

Care

Thin or transplant seedlings before they become crowded. Increase direct light gradually and choose a warm, well-drained position after frost danger has passed. Water during dry periods while allowing excess water to drain. In cooler regions, grow it as a seasonal crop or under protection. Remove mature seed heads if self-sowing is not wanted and check local guidance before outdoor cultivation. This listing makes no traditional-use, medicinal, therapeutic or food-safety claim.

Storage

Keep unused seed labelled in a sealed container in a cool, dry, dark place. Protect it from humidity, heat and pests.
