Description

Sage has been a sacred herb to the native Americans for centuries. It is used for ceremonial blessings and purification, as well at to help ward off evil spirits.  Sage represents wisdom and knowledge to other cultures. It even makes Chicken soup better!

This necklace is representational of a Native American smudge stick. In tradition sacred sage is tied together in a bundle and dried.

The core of this pendant is a small glass vial. Around this bottle polymer clay sage leaves have been applied, staggered to give the look of a bundle of leaves. All of the leaves have been molded from real sage leaves.

The top of the bundle is ‘tied’ together with sterling silver wire. The wire has been wrapped around, and forms the loops at the sides which allow it to be hung from a cord.

The glass bottle is stopped with a cork. Use this little bottle for essential oil, perfume, a little bit of dried ground herbs, pixie dust or whatever else you can think of!

This pendant is hung from a trio of light silver chains, attached to a silver ring. Hung on a silver rope chain.

Size: 3 3/8 inches top of ring to bottom of pendant. (8.5 cm)
3/4 inches wide. (2cm)

Length: 20 inch silver rope chain.

This is art. First, the craftsmanship and quality are amazing. But, second, and more importantly to me, the integration of natural environment with modern design is perfect for my style. I felt like this piece had been designed for me. And, third, when I wore it for the first time today, I occasionally caught a glimpse of the pendant, then the Elvis version of Poke Salad Annie started playing in my head (in the most fun way). Oh, and fast shipping and remarkable presentation (the boxing is perfect for a gift).
