What is [ remedy ] and what is it used for?
[ remedy ] is a compact, highly portable practice mute designed for brass players suffering from chronic travel, tight luggage space, or thin hotel room walls. It is engineered to keep your chops alive when a full-sized practice mute simply won't fit in your luggage.
Method of Administration (How to use it)
Active Mode: Insert firmly into the bell. Practice without waking up the neighbors.
Transit Mode: Leave it inside the bell, pack the trombone into its case, and close the lid. It is specifically shaped to fit inside most of the instrument cases, saving you precious cargo space.
Composition and Material Resilience
Built with a hybrid design of soft TPU and PLA components. While it is highly resilient, drop-resistant, and built to survive the chaotic life of a touring musician, it is not military armor. Please do not run it over with the tour bus to prove a point.
Known Side Effects (The Physics Disclaimer)
Like any potent remedy, this device comes with specific acoustic side effects caused entirely by the laws of physics:
Intonation Shift: Due to its ultra-compact volume, it will make your general pitch sharper. You will need to pull your tuning slide out further than usual.
The Dip: Expect the notes at the higher end to sound flat.
Airflow Exception: On the bright side, unlike traditional stuffy travel mutes, it offers a remarkably free airflow and realistic backpressure.
Overdose Advice
If you spend more than 4 consecutive hours practicing in a hotel bathroom, remove the device, exit the bathroom, open a window, and seek immediate human interaction.
