LUCID NATURE | Collection I: Shiro-Sumii Floating Shelves (Yakisugi Wall Series)

Introduce the elegant, weathered aesthetic of traditional Japanese design into your architectural spaces. Our Shiro-Sumii Floating Shelves are premium wall ledges handcrafted from solid timber. Pairing the dramatic organic texture of carbonized wood with modern, bright Japandi and minimalist interiors, these shelves act as a serene visual anchor for displaying books, ceramics, or botanical art.

Choose Your Yakisugi Texture & Burn Level: Client Decides

Every wall has a voice, and we believe your shelving should sing in harmony with it. We offer three distinct, traditional Japanese Yakisugi textures and custom charring levels, fully selected by you:
Crocodile / Alligator Skin (Traditional Heavy Char): A deeply charred, crackled, geometric surface that absorbs light like black obsidian.

Snake Skin (Medium Char): A highly organic, fine-crackled texture that showcases a delicate play of shadow.
Corduroy / Ribbed Grain (Brushed Finish): Meticulously brushed to remove the soft carbon layers, leaving a deeply embossed, linear wood grain reminiscent of rich corduroy fabric.

You can specify a stronger (deeper black) or weaker (revealing more under-wood tones) finish when placing your order.

Standard & Bespoke Dimensions: Client Decides the Size

We offer a massive range of standard options to accommodate your specific wall space, but we can easily craft any bespoke dimension at your request:
Standard Lengths: Available in a continuous range from 30 cm to 210 cm (approx. 11.8 to 82.7 inches).
Standard Depths: Available in 11 cm, 15 cm, or 19 cm (approx. 4.3, 5.9, or 7.5 inches).
Custom Dimensions: If you require a highly specific length, depth, or thickness, simply send us a message with your desired dimensions. We reply very quickly, and custom made-to-order projects are ready to ship in only 1 to 2 weeks.

Permanently Fortified: Resin-Hardened Structural Guarantee

A primary concern with deeply carbonized wood is its fragile nature. We have engineered a definitive solution. The entire structure of these Yakisugi shelves has been thoroughly impregnated and hardened with premium, structural-grade resins. This advanced preservation process binds the delicate carbonized layers deep within the timber, providing an absolute guarantee that the shelves will never crumble, flake, or break. It transforms raw charcoal into a rock-solid, everlasting architectural ledge.
Zero Smudge: Cured with Premium Oil-Waxes

To complete the finish and ensure clean, worry-free handling, the shelves are treated with multiple layers of natural hardwax-oils. They are 100% smudge-proof and safe to handle, leaving absolutely no soot or black residue on your fingers, clothing, books, or interior walls. They are completely dry, clean, and ready for immediate wall or ceiling installation.
