The Big One Birthday Invitation, Surf Van 1st Birthday Boy, Come Catch A Wave, Retro Watercolor Surfboard Party, Editable Canva Template

This the big one birthday invitation brings a surf shop feeling straight to your mailbox. Picture a watercolor surf van shown from a fresh angle you won't find on every other listing, paired with a hand-drawn sun that has its own smiling face, a groovy touch most invitations skip. Pale blue, sage green, and orange wash over a clean white background, with a checkered flag in the corner, gentle ocean waves, swaying palm trees, birds overhead, and two surfboards, one plain blue and one orange checkered. The playful rounded lettering spells out The Big One while your child's name, date, time, and location sit in simple, easy to read text. It already shows Carter's 1st Birthday as an example, so you can see exactly how your own details will look once you swap them in.

WHY THIS THE BIG ONE BIRTHDAY INVITATION
===

- Animated mobile evite included. Most editable invitations only hand you a flat picture to send. This the big one birthday invitation gives you a moving evite that grabs attention in a group text, and almost nobody in this theme offers it.
- Edit it tonight from your phone. You do not need a laptop or a print shop appointment. Type your details in the free Canva app and you have a card in minutes.
- One purchase, two versions. You get the printable card for the party table and the digital evite for the group chat, so you are not buying separate files.
-
- Reuse with no expiration. Edit it again for the dessert table sign, favor tags, or thank you cards in the same style.

===
USE CASES
===
- A mom planning a backyard luau party picks this invite for the surf van illustration alone, since it feels different from the usual beach clipart everyone else uses.
- A dad designing invites for his son's first birthday loves that the hand-drawn sun has a face, giving the whole card a cheerful, groovy feel guests notice right away.
- A grandmother helping plan a summer themed first birthday chooses the two surfboards and checkered flag details because they match the surf board cake her daughter already ordered.
- A party planner working on a wave and palm tree themed bash uses this template to keep the invite consistent with the ocean colored balloons and table setup.
- A parent sending invites for an outdoor first birthday party picks the pale blue and sage green palette so the card matches string lights and a driftwood dessert table.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
===
Q: Can I change the colors or is it fixed to blue and green?
A: The template comes designed in pale blue, sage green, and orange, and while you can adjust text color inside Canva, the illustrated surf van, sun, waves, and surfboards stay in their original watercolor style.

Q: Does the invitation include RSVP details?
A: Yes, there are text fields already set up for RSVP information along with the name, date, time, and location, so you just click and type your own details.

Q: Can I change the the big one birthday invitation colors to match my party?
A: Yes. The Pale Blue and Sage Green colors, the design, and every text color are editable in Canva, so you can warm it up or keep it soft. If you want a coordinating dessert sign or thank you card in the same look, check the rest of the shop for matching pieces.

Q: Does the animated mobile evite really move?
A: Yes. The evite version has gentle motion that plays when your guests open it on their phone, which is what makes it stand out in a busy group text. You send it as a link or video through text, WhatsApp, or email, and there is nothing for your guests to download.

Q: Can I edit this the big one birthday invitation on my phone?
A: Yes. Basic phone editing is supported through the free Canva app, so you can type the name, the date, and the address right from your phone tonight. A tablet or computer gives you a bit more room, but a phone is enough to finish and send it.

Q: Do I need to pay for Canva or design software?
A: No. The template opens in a free Canva account and there is nothing to install. Everything you need to change the wording and colors works on the free plan.

Q: How do I print the invitation once it is done?
A: Download the print ready PDF with crop marks and print at home on cardstock, use a local print shop, or upload to an online printer. The file is sized 5x7 inches, and the JPG is best for texting or posting the invitation digitally.

Q: Will I get a physical invitation in the mail?
A: No. This is a digital template for personal use only and no physical item will be shipped. You receive editable files instantly so you can print or send them yourself the same day.

Q: Can I reuse this for other party items?
A: Yes. There is no expiration on your edits and downloads, so you can reopen the template for a matching welcome sign, favor tags, or thank you cards in the same style. Coordinating designs are available in the shop if you would rather grab a ready bundle.
