The carved coffer from Bolivia were typically used to store different things before the arrival of the Spaniards and continued in colonial times.

Most were made of silver, but a few wood carved examples survive from the Jesuit missions in Moxos and Chiquitos in Bolivia, which were established to educate the natives and train them in arts and crafts.

In this coffer we can appreciate a dense and delicate ivy, which
covers the surface of this beautifully, crafted piece of art.

We believe this coffer were done in cedar wood and have exclusive and elegant designs and it can be used for storing jewelry items as well as other personal belongings.
