Description

WINE CASK
Handdyed and handspun Coopworth wool.
141 yards, 3.5 ounces, 7-8wpi, bulky weight, thick and thin. Recommended needle size US 10+.

This is a fleece-spun yarn handmade from wool locks with minimal processing. It is a one of a kind handspun original. Like all my handspun yarns, after I spun the fiber it was bathed in a gentle, biodegradable detergent containing lavender oil.

Coopworth wool: the general definition. A longwool breed originating from a Border Leicester and Romney sheep cross with a bright luster and well defined crimp. My fleece's definition: a pearly lustrous fleece that is soft and will be okay for next to skin wear for most people, with clear beautiful sparkling color. These fleeces were coated part of the year so they are free of any veggie matter and come from a farm in Northwestern Montana.

Many more yarns like this in my store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/aspenmoonarts?section_id=6268780&ref=shopsection_leftnav_1

To learn more about me, my craft, knitting books, and spinning stuff please visit my About page for links to my blog and website: https://www.etsy.com/shop/aspenmoonarts/about?ref=shopinfo_about_leftnav

Thanks much for looking! I have many more wonderful fiber art pieces in my store! I also take special orders also for handpainted yarns and fibers.

FAQs

Shipped from Wyoming, USA!

I will ship orders as quick as am can but please realize I live in a rural area, so with limited post office hours (open 4 hours per day, plus 2 on Saturday) it can be slow. I use USPS as it is the most convenient. Tracking info is always provided. Insurance is provided for any order over $50 in the United States.

For international shipping, USPS uses the customs number as "tracking" but it can be a little erratic if it's scanned or not. Insurance is provided for international orders over $100.
I will generally hold items for limited time of a week or less. Please convo with the name (s) of your pics.
Yes, I accept returns in original condition. Please convo me within 14 days or delivery, the sooner the better. You have a total of 30 days from delivery to get it back to me, but once again, the sooner the better.
Please convo with your ideas. I have a lot of dyed wool and probably have the colors you have in mind.
