Description

These realistic traditional blue and white "ticking" pillows are suitable for any period from the Georgian era onwards, including Regency and Colonial dolls houses and miniature settings.

To increase realism, the pillows are filled with rice rather than polyester filler, as this allows them to sit properly, resembling feather pillows rather than being puffy like modern pillows.

Please select the size you require:
- Modern: 2" by 1 3/8" (5cm by 3.5cm )
- Traditional*: 2 1/5" by 1 3/8" (6.2cm by 3.5cm)
- Cot (crib): 1 3/4" by 1 1/4" (4.5cm by 3.2cm)

Each order consists of two pillows only. Other bedding, furniture and accessories shown in the photos are not included.

These pillows are fresh and "clean" looking, however if aged pillows would suit your miniature scene better please see my other listings, as I also have gently aged pillows available.

Also, please see the other listings in my Etsy shop Tea Tree Miniatures for pillowcases to fit these pillows.

---international customers please note, carefully and securely packaged, this item ships as a" letter", minimising postage costs---

This is a collector's item, not a toy, and is not intended for children.

*Traditional dimensions are based on ticking requirements referred in "The Workwoman's Guide" by Mary Thomas, published in London in 1840

Shipping policies

All items are shipped by Australia Post airmail, and my shipping charge is calculated to recover the cost of the packing materials and the postage.

I have intentionally designed and made all my items to ensure that, with careful and secure packaging, they will fit though a 2cm slot, so will be considered a “letter” by Australia Post. This minimizes postage costs, particularly for overseas customers. It may look like a small parcel to you, but Australia Post classifies it as a letter.

Shipping is combined, that is, if you order several item in the same order (at the same time), I can securely arrange as many of them that will fit side by side in the same “letter” for one low postage cost. I may be able to fit up to twelve of the small items such as food and candlesticks in one. For larger items such as bags, possibly only three or four would fit. In the case of you ordering more than this I will ship as two separate “letters”, this is still cheaper than a small “package” in the Australia Post system. I will advise you as to the extra postage cost in this case.

Items are shipped within three business days of cleared payment, barring unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event of an order being delayed, I will try to contact you by convo.

Custom orders may take longer, this will be determined when communicating with you about the details of your custom order.

How long your order takes to reach you depends on the local post service in your country, and also whether it is delayed by the customs service in your country. Unfortunately this is not something I can predict. . .

If you require a postal tracking number, please let me know and I will investigate how much this will cost you and let you know.

Additional policies

All my items are intended for adult collectors of miniatures. They are not toys and are not suitable for children.
I make all of my items by hand, and do not use moulds. So each item will differ slightly, but the quality will be the same. Keep in mind that colours you see on your screen are influenced by your own computer/ipad etc. I take all my photos in natural light and check that the colours are faithfully represented on my screen, but you may experience some variation from your machine.
