A lithophane is a thin, precisely-shaded 3D print that hides your photo in plain sight — flat and unassuming until it's lit from behind, when the image reveals itself in stunning light-and-shadow detail. It's one of the most magical ways to display a memory: a wedding photo, a new baby, a beloved pet, a family portrait, or any picture that means something to you.

Each lithophane is custom printed from the photo you send us, using precision layer-by-layer 3D printing to translate light and dark areas of your image into varying thicknesses of plastic. Thin areas glow bright, thick areas stay dark — creating a true photographic image out of light.

🎨 Choose Your Style:

Monochrome — the classic lithophane look. Printed in a single filament, light passes through to reveal your photo in soft grayscale tones with beautiful depth and contrast. Best for that traditional, timeless glow.
Full Color — your photo printed in its actual colors using multi-material printing, so the image reads clearly even in daylight, with the glowing lithophane effect still visible when backlit.

4" x 6" — a compact desk or shelf piece
6.5" x 6.5" — square format, great for portraits or symmetrical shots
8" x 6" — our largest option, ideal for detailed group photos or landscapes
