Vector Conversion | Image to Vector

This service converts your image into a production-ready vector file for stencils, decals, and vinyl cutting. Most projects only need a straightforward Level 1 or Level 2 conversion, but if your stencil or decal needs to be cut to accommodate multiple color layers, that typically falls under Layer Separation and Reconstruction (Level 3). See below for details.

BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR IMAGE

Ask yourself, does my artwork have:

✓ Clear, sharp edges when zoomed in (not blurry or pixelated)?
✓ Good contrast between the design and background?
✓ No unwanted background elements?
✓ Text that is not distorted, warped, or part of an image?
✓ Simple shapes that are not overlapping?
✓ A single color, with no separate layers needed for cutting/painting?

Your artwork may require additional vector preparation (Level 2 or 3) if:

• It was saved as a screenshot
• It was downloaded from the internet
• It was AI generated
• It is low resolution
• It contains many small details
• Elements overlap or are combined together
• Text needs to be identified
• It needs to be separated into multiple colors or layers

A note on white layers: on multi-color designs, "white" usually isn't a separate layer in the original artwork; it's negative space (like eyes, teeth, highlights, or a background gap) that has to be manually rebuilt as its own layer. This is Level 3 work, not a simple conversion.

HOW IT WORKS

You'll receive a visual proof of your converted and reviewed artwork (original image + vector conversion preview), along with notes on any recommended revisions. You will not be automatically charged for additional work — a separate listing will be sent for your approval before anything further is done. Vector source files are retained internally for production use and vinyl cutting and are not included with this service.

Level 1 — Initial Vector Conversion & Review — $10
• Initial conversion from pixel image to vector format
• File review to determine if additional cleanup or reconstruction is recommended
• Best fit for: single-color, high-contrast designs with clean edges and no overlapping elements
• If your vector is clean and no additional work is needed, it may be ready for production

Level 2 — Vector Cleanup — $20
• Edge smoothing
• Minor adjustments
• Text recreation using a similar font*
• Removing unwanted details (stray marks, minor background artifacts, small unwanted elements)

Level 3 — Layer Separation and Reconstruction — starting at $50
• Separating artwork into multiple layers for multi-color cutting or painting (e.g. black + white stencils)
• Manually rebuilding layers that don't exist in the original file (such as a white/negative-space layer)
• Manual recreation of vector elements needed to cleanly isolate each layer

Most 2-layer vectors run $50–$80. Final pricing depends on the number of layers and how much manual reconstruction each one needs. Your review will include a breakdown of required preparation and final pricing before additional work is completed.

*Font matching: Text will be recreated using available font options. If the original font is not available, a similar font will be used at no additional charge. Exact font identification and matching is available for an additional $30 and may require font licensing.
