ABOUT THIS SCENE

The view drops away from the rim into a maze of banded spires and gullies,
pink and cream stripes running level across every ridge. Green prairie holds
the far horizon, flat above the broken ground.

Each stripe is a layer of sediment and volcanic ash laid down one over the
next. When the light comes in sideways, the hills look painted.

This vintage-inspired poster reimagines the view in the spirit of classic
American travel posters, with bold shapes, a limited palette, crisp
lettering, and the look of traditional flat-ink printing.
