This purple amethyst necklace pairs 7 mm round beads with a 25 mm banded teardrop pendant. The violet is not one shade: some beads are near-aubergine, others medium violet, and the pendant is paler than all of them.

Boho, in its quiet form: small round beads and silver-tone metal throughout. It suits a grey and black wardrobe, and takes a desk day, a dinner, a wedding.

At 17 inches it settles along the collarbone, with a longer chain fitting underneath. Under a fingertip you can feel every spacer, one between each bead, to the clasp.

Between every bead there is a spacer, and at the front Bekir and Seha left two plain beads together to carry the pendant. Only one was made, and the one in the photographs is the one that arrives at your door.
