CalmDeskKitties Offline Cat Focus Timer is a self-contained HTML timer designed for a current Chrome or Edge browser on a Windows laptop or desktop.

Choose one tiny next step, set a timed focus session, and let Oat Button, Soot Sprout, or Moss Noodle keep quiet watch at the desk. The file runs locally after download—no account, subscription, installation wizard, cloud service, or internet connection is required.

The ZIP and PDF are digital files. No physical timer, toy, cat figurine, printed guide, tablet, laptop, or other item will be shipped.

HOW TO START

1. Purchase and download both files from Etsy in a web browser or on a computer.
2. Extract the ZIP folder. Do not run the HTML file from inside the ZIP.
3. Right-click CalmDeskKitties_Offline_Cat_Focus_Timer_v1.0.html, choose Open with, and select a current Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser.
4. Add up to three tasks and choose one as your next step.
5. Select a focus length and start when you are ready.

COMPATIBILITY — PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING

Supported and tested setup: a current version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a Windows desktop or laptop.

Mobile phones, tablets, macOS, Safari, Firefox, ChromeOS, Linux, and other browser or operating-system combinations are not currently supported or guaranteed. This is a local browser-based HTML tool, not an installable native desktop app or mobile app. It is not an OBS or streaming overlay.

Browser-controlled features such as local storage, downloads, clipboard access, audio, and full-screen mode can vary by browser profile, security setting, or device.

LOCAL STORAGE, BACKUP, AND PRIVACY

Desk Kitty attempts to save tasks, settings, timer state, and progress in the current browser profile's local storage. The timer has no account, cloud sync, automatic cloud backup, calendar integration, analytics service, or cross-device syncing.

For the best chance of keeping progress, use the same current Chrome or Edge profile and the same copy of CalmDeskKitties_Offline_Cat_Focus_Timer_v1.0.html. Avoid private or incognito windows. Clearing browser data, changing browser profiles, switching browsers or computers, or moving or renaming the local file can make saved progress unavailable.

Use Export backup regularly. The exported JSON backup contains Task Bowl text, settings, timer state, and progress, so store it as a private file. Restore accepts a valid unedited Desk Kitty backup smaller than 1 MB and deliberately stops the restored timer for safety.

If the footer says “Session-only mode · browser storage is unavailable,” export a backup before closing the page.

IMPORTANT LIMITS

There are no notifications, calendar connections, team sharing, account sync, cloud backup, or automatic product updates. Play, Stretch, Treat, and the kitty-scene interaction are unavailable while a focus session is actively running. This is a general-purpose timer, not medical care, mental-health treatment, or a substitute for professional advice.

DIGITAL DELIVERY

This is an instant digital download. Etsy currently does not support downloading digital purchases inside the Etsy app; use Etsy.com in a browser or the Purchases area on a computer. Payment may need to finish processing before the download button appears.

PERSONAL-USE LICENSE

Purchase grants one purchaser a limited personal-use license. You may use the delivered file on devices you personally own or control and keep reasonable private backup copies. You may not share, gift, resell, sublicense, redistribute, upload, publish, host, or use the files, code, artwork, characters, written content, backups, or modified versions as a team tool, client deliverable, course asset, membership benefit, template, public website, or commercial product.
