Great Scott. This one actually does something.

A hand-built 75% scale Flux Capacitor replica with 34 individually addressable LEDs, animated lighting effects, built-in sound, infrared remote control and three full time travel sequences.

It doesn't just sit there and glow. It runs.

Press the remote and the lights accelerate. The sound builds. The case flashes. The unit drops into darkness, then bursts back into life.

At 26cm tall x 23cm wide x 13cm deep, it was deliberately designed at 75% scale so it actually fits on a shelf, desk or bookcase while still having the presence of the full size movie prop.

⚡ BUILT, PROGRAMMED AND READY TO RUN

Building one of these from individual parts is a serious project. You need the enclosure, three arm assemblies, the lighting and audio electronics, dozens of hours of printing, wiring, sanding and assembly, and then the firmware to make all of it work together.

This one arrives completely finished and ready to use.

📏 WHY 75% SCALE

The full size prop is enormous. It looks fantastic, but most people simply don't have anywhere sensible to put one.

At 75% scale this version still reads immediately as the iconic Flux Capacitor from across the room, but it will comfortably sit on a shelf, a desk, a bookcase or in a display cabinet.

The reduced scale was a deliberate design choice, not a shortcut.

💡 SEVEN ANIMATED LIGHTING MODES

Each mode has its own LED chase pattern, and the case lighting changes to complement the effect.

• SMOOTH — a bright white comet travelling along each arm with a fading trail
• 30FPS — twin LEDs moving together with a dimmer trailing light
• MOVIE — alternating LEDs, recreating the distinctive on screen chase
• SIMPLE — a clean single LED stepping sequence
• PAIRED — a twin light chase variation
• HALO — an animated halo style variation
• RAINBOW — a full colour cycle travelling continuously across all three arms

Chase speed can be increased or decreased from the remote.

Case illumination also changes with the selected mode, including dim white, warm amber, deep blue and warm orange.


⚡ THREE TIME TRAVEL SEQUENCES

These are not simply different flashing patterns. Each one combines lighting, case illumination, blackout timing and sound into a complete effect.

CLASSIC
The white lighting accelerates faster and faster before hitting a near white flash while the case strobes white and blue. Everything then drops into darkness before warm amber bursts bring the unit back to life.

LIGHTNING
A blue acceleration builds into around two seconds of intense blue and white strobing. Then total darkness. A beat later it finishes with crackling electrical sparks.

NUCLEAR
The lighting builds through an accelerating sequence into roughly four and a half seconds of blinding white. The unit then goes completely dark and silent for about a second and a half, before one final burst.

The major lighting hits are timed to land on the audio rather than simply running alongside it.

A speaker is built directly into the unit, with audio stored on a microSD card.

🔓 OPENING FRONT

The front of the enclosure opens on metal latches, revealing the inside of the display and the rear of the window assembly.

This is not a sealed decorative box. The hinged enclosure is part of the design, and adds another layer of detail for collectors who like to inspect their props up close.

The electronics are covered by a 6 month warranty.

If something ever goes wrong, message me. You are not dealing with a distributor, or with someone trying to diagnose a circuit board that somebody else designed.


⏱️ MADE TO ORDER

Each Flux Capacitor is individually assembled by hand. Please allow approximately 3 to 5 working days before dispatch.

Because these are handmade rather than mass produced, tiny variations between individual units are normal. That is part of owning a handmade prop.

Orders to Canada, the EU and other destinations may attract local import VAT, customs duty or a carrier handling fee on arrival. These charges are set by the destination country, are not collected by me, and are payable by the buyer.
